The desktop app and the Android client share one login and one database. The HMI is a separate system — it runs the plant.
About the HMI. This is supervisory control software for the pilot plant. It reads live process data
and, once commissioned on a station, writes setpoints to the controllers that run the plant.
Intended for authorised plant personnel.
It takes two downloads. The installer above is the software; the plant itself — the screens, the tag
database, the alarms and the controller settings — is a separate file from
Projects. Install the first, download the second, then open the app and pick the
project from the list it shows you. Without the project the HMI has nothing to display.

The HMI is an empty shell without one of these. A project holds the screens, the tag database, the alarms and the controller settings for a site. If you installed the HMI from Downloads, this is the second half.
The GTL pilot as configured today: every tag recovered from the existing LabVIEW system, the process screens, the loop faceplate, and all three cRIO controllers set up and ready to connect.
Controllers arrive switched off and read-only. A fresh copy will not touch the network until someone enables it, and will not command anything until every setpoint has been entered and the controller deliberately armed. Opening this file is safe; running a plant with it is a decision you have to make twice.
